Soda Blasting

Why Choose Soda Blasting?

Soda particles remove paints and contaminants by energy release when the soda crystals explode as they come in contact with the surface to be cleaned or de-painted.

Baking soda media imparts a cleaning effect where other abrasives use a hit and cut method to clean or chop away the coating.

Soda blasting easily removes carbon, grease, oils, gasket materials, surface corrosion, paint and coatings from a variety of metals, alloys, plastics (FRP's), and composites without surface damage or distortion.

Soda blasting also reduces cycle time by cleaning, de-greasing and de-painting all in one step. Unlike glass beads or plastic media baking soda does not require a chemical pre-wash and its water solubility allows for complete rinsing eliminating the risk of spent media lodging in tight spaces or critical passageways.

Bottom line: Soda blasting does not damage the substrate (base material) and leaves what ever surface you are working with in a ready to paint condition.
